I have both this AKASO Quick Release Chest Mount Harness and the one that carries the brand name of thehero camera company. I notice very little difference between the two. Of course this review is for the AKASO harness. The overall size range of this product should work on most people. It has been worn by people up to 280 lb and 6′ tall with room to spare so it should work well for even larger people. It sizes down small enough to be useful for almost anyone. The straps are elastic with no raveling of any threads and good stitching at the joints and seams. There is a pad on the back of the actual camera mount making it comfortable enough that I tend to forget I have it on when filming with this chest mount harness. The camera mount is the standard type and it also has a “twist to release” mechanism that allows you to quickly remove the camera and replace it with one hand. The twist to release locks into place very solidly and has a release button that must be depressed to allow it to twist and be removed. Everything feels quite sturdy and I haven’t had the camera inadvertently separate from the harness yet while jumping bikes or riding Jet Skis with it. Overall the quality is pretty comparable to the branded one. This is a good accessory for action camera filming.
