Citrine beads are the transparent golden yellow variety of Quartz which is mined in Brazil, Madagascar, Russia and Spain. Natural Citrine deposits are found with Amethyst formations due to the earth`s heat changing the purple quartz (amethyst) into a yellow quartz (citrine). Citrine derives its name from the French word `Citron` meaning yellow. Tumbled citrine nuggets are paired with 4mm gold-plated filigree beads. The colors of the nuggets range from the palest of yellows to gold. The length of the necklace is approximately 18-inches with a 2½-inch extension chain and has a lobster claw closure. Matching gold-plated leverback earrings are included.
